Description
As part of our commitment to promoting Shop Local/Shop Small in Decatur and Macon County, The Chamber Small Business Execuiive Council will host a Round Table on Thursday, June 14, from 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM at the Greater Decatur Chamber of Commerce in the lower level conference room. Coffee and water will be provided. There is no cost to attend.
As local leaders with a presumed interest in the benefits of Shopping Local, we want you to join us and contribute to the discussion and planning. Locally-owned and operated businesses provide a major revenue stream to our community and we want to come together to help make them even stronger. Please RSVP by noon on Wednesday, June 13.
Chamber Round Table events are organized around affinity groups and allow a time and space to discuss current challenges, trends, and opportunities happening within the Decatur-area business community. Our purpose with the Shop Local Round Table on June 14 is to discuss, envision and plan a collaborative and sustainable promotion to Shop Local in Metro Decatur year-round.
We will seek your input to develop a year-round promotion for Shopping Local in the Decatur-Macon County community. We will also facilitate the discussion of any other issues you bring to the table in advance. Please submit additional issues or discussion points to Mark Sturgell at the Chamber, at your earliest convenience.
The purpose of the Round Table is for all locally owned and operated members to mutually benefit. Members help create the agenda and each member should be able to provide sound input, feedback, ask good questions and be able to receive benefit from the group as well. You will be encouraged to generate ideas and to be active problem solvers, giving the benefit of your experience for common cause. Since all members are part of the same business community, competitive issues will not be allowed.
