Description
As part of our commitment to the Restaurant, Food and Beverage sector in Decatur and Macon County, we will host a Round Table on Tuesday, February 6, from 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM at the Chamber office lower level conference room. Our purpose is to plan the 2018 Chamber Restaurant Week and discuss current challenges, trends, and opportunities happening within the Decatur-area food and beverage service community.
There is no cost to attend. As a local leader in this service sector, we want you to join us and contribute to the discussion. The restaurant, food and beverage industry provides a major revenue stream to our city ? and we want to come together to help make it even stronger. Please RSVP by Friday, February 2.
We will seek your input to help make our local Chamber Restaurant Week, March 19-25, 2018, a very special one. We will also facilitate the discussion of any other issues you bring to the table in advance. Chamber Restaurant Week is sponsored by Tate & Lyle and the Greater Decatur Chamber of Commerce.
During 2018 Chamber Restaurant Week, we will once again award a $500 grant, sponsored by Richland Community College, to a participating restaurant for help with aesthetic improvements, educational offerings, or technology enhancements. Last year, TKG's Wing Heaven won the award to put in a street-side sign, and we look forward to contributing to another business again this year.

The purpose of the Round Table is for all Food & Beverage Chamber members to mutually benefit. Members help create the agenda and each member should be able to provide sound input, feedback, ask good questions and be able to receive benefit from the group as well. You will be encouraged to generate ideas and to be active problem solvers, giving the benefit of your experience for common cause. Since all members are part of the same business community, competitive issues will not be allowed.
